Last night I spent the evening with some of my favorite ladies who I freelance with bi-annually. Our first stop was dinner at Tartinery in Soho, new to all of us, which was adorable. Not only did the owners pick a great interior designer, but also someone who knows good bones structure in hiring staff. I've put the link here as I forgot to take pictures.
two pitchers of pink sangria will do that, ha.
In addition to libations we shared a well curated five cheese assortment and five different tartines: Croque Monsieur, Steak Minute (my favorite), Crevettes Avocat, Thon Cru and Saint Mercellin.

The next stop, sans a few ladies, was Hotel Chantelle in LES. I must admit, I love this place. Why? Well, because it's cool beans. We get there just in time for the complimentary friday night burlesque show (who doesn't love burlesque?) and to start the rounds of a lovely gin, blackberry and sour concoction by charming bartenders Paul and Phillip. Behind unmarked doors (i.e., the looks of an abandoned building), Chantelle is a speakeasy-esque french bar that draws the perfect late 20's early 30's crowd--sophisticated downtown artists. Fact: You will find your next lover, favorite bartender, and perhaps your favorite actor, all under one roof.
